First Week of Day Camp

The boys finished up their first full week of day camp today. They are really enjoying it and coming home each afternoon exhaused. I think Evan has even fallen asleep a couple of times in Todd's truck on the way home.

The camp is held at a gym which includes a pool and nice playground. The days have been chock-full of basketball, tennis, swimming, arts and crafts and a multitude of other fun activities. The boys take their own lunch, but the gym gives them snacks in the afternoon such as hotdogs, snowballs, cookies, freeze pops, etc. My kids are super hungry after swimming!

Since there is a pool there, they are also taking swimming lessons this week and next week to sharpen up their skills for the summer. They have been practicing diving and both Chad and Evan really like that. Even though we lather them with sunscreen and have given them each a bottle to reapply during the day, they are both about 5 shades darker than they were at the beginning of the week. I will definitely be the palest one in the family this summer.

A flower pot that Evan made for me this week. I turned it into a pencil holder for my desk.
